"Charity" in exchange for Bonus points for cl grade? Right or Wrong?

Ok, maybe once I would do it if I REALLY needed that boost to p a cl or something, but the parents thoughts are right - this is a wrong approach to teaching "charity". I was always taught charity begins at home, meaning you learn it from your family and then you give to our community, but not by being bribed.
